more Bettendorf and Maquoketa caves

On Friday we loaded Jack's bike on the rack and waited for him to arrive from school. As the school bus stopped, we all entered the rv and went for a camping night in Maquoketa Caves state park.

When we arrived the kids rode bikes and enjoyed the campfire

The next morning, after eating Aviv's yummy pancakes we went to see the caves. The place is so cool, part of the trails go inside the caves, they're paved and illuminated and a small underground stream goes along. Others are dark and you need to crawl in with flashlight (we didn't go into those).
When we arrived back to Bettendorf the next day, the kids played birdie while Jim and Dagan finished the coffee machine compartment project.

In the evening we roasted marshmallows in the patio by the fire pit.

After all that fun we had, we said goodbye today. It was sad to leave but we have lots of adventures ahead of us. The Sieleman's hospitality was fantastic as usual and it was good to see them and their new beautiful house. THANK YOU!
