After the previous "verbal" post, this one is more about pictures.We spent the day in both the American and the Canadian sides of the falls. We woke up early thanks to the towing that luckily never really happened. We parked in Goat Island and went to take our first look of the horseshoe falls.
The weather was perfectly warm and sunny so we went back to the car to take the bike to ride along the river. The peak season is over and the park was empty.
Out of the many suggested tourist attractions we chose 2: Maid of the Mist boat ride (almost) into the falls and the Cave of the Winds.
Maid of the Mist-
For Cave of the Winds, we had to change our shoes to the latest fashion sandals and yellow poncho. We went along a boardwalk under the Bridal Veil falls. By the end of the trip we were all soaked wet, including the camera.
After that we crossed the border to Canada to find a campground for the night. In the evening we drove back to the falls to see them from the Canadian side. After dark the falls are illuminated with colorful lights. Then there were fireworks.

Wow!!! It looks absolutely beautiful! But where is the snow and ice?? Jack almost didn't recognize where you were. :-) Most of all - CONGRATULATIONS ON A WORKING ESPRESSO MACHINE!!! Jim will be bummed that the nice box won't be used but at least now you still have a place to put the broom. :-)
Heeeee, those falls are still beautiful, I was there some 30 years ago.....still at lot of water, very impressing. When we were at the Victoria falls, they were almost dry (1993) and we visited Foz de Iguassu after heavy rain fall(2005), which leaded to a breakdown of the Argentinian pathways....still think Niagara is the most beautifull.....first impression.....
I love the story "Dagans mysterious relationship with espresso machines", must be something magical.....
I do not read anything about schoolwork anymore.....where did that go? I don't want to spoil the fun.....

we saw a paper of common questions about the falls and one of them was - do they close the falls for the night? ha ha. School is on lower key these days as the kids learn so much from the trip itself. We still do math and all the boring stuff though.
