taking it easy in Nebraska

After 2 days of intensive driving across the prairies of Wyoming and Nebraska, we were lucky to find by coincidence a beautiful camp in Fort Kearny for the night. We arrived at dusk and took a short bike ride to find a charming bike trail near by. The next morning we decided to hit the road a bit later and we went again, with camera this time. The trail crosses a wood bridge that goes over the Platte River. The river is wide and shallow with mild current so we could walk in water along it, with small fishies tickling our toes.
Some parts were too deep for Adi...

Before leaving the camp we cleaned the rv for it to be ready for the big day tomorrow!

We're arriving to Jack, Cathy and Jim in Bettendorf! We're so excited to see them!!!

We toasted all of you last night with our first dinner together! We missed all of you on this beautiful warm night in our "remodeled" screen porch and out on our new patio. Tonight is a bit cooler and we will try a fire if it doens't rain. Pictures to follow!
